Release Notes reqSuite® rm 4.6.1

With the release 4.6.1, dated December 7, 2025, reqSuite® rm brings targeted improvements for practical use in everyday project work. The main focus areas include an extension of the translation feature, improved stability for the Jira interface, and optimized Excel import/export for complex relationships.

Automatic Translation into Chinese

The automatic translation feature in reqSuite® rm now supports Chinese as a target language. This makes it possible to seamlessly translate all project content into one of the most important business languages – without relying on external translation tools.

Global project teams benefit from consistent, automated language support, especially across international development and supply chains.

More Reliable Jira Synchronization

Recent changes to the Jira API had caused synchronization issues in isolated cases. These issues have now been fully resolved through adjustments to the interface logic in reqSuite® rm.

The connection to Jira is once again stable and reliable, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted data exchange between requirements and development tasks.

Enhanced Excel Import/Export for Self-Relations

In cases where self-referencing relationships are configured within a single category, previous Excel exports did not fully capture the directionality of these links.

The latest release introduces:

  • Two separate columns for self-relations during export to represent direction (source/target) correctly
  • Extended support for the relationship matrix, including accurate placement of the relation marker (x) during import

This ensures that links between elements within the same category are preserved across export and import. Especially in models with complex internal structures (e.g., process steps, use cases, or variants), this enhancement improves consistency and data integrity.

Conclusion

Update 4.6.1 makes reqSuite® rm more robust, user-friendly, and internationally applicable. The new language support, improved Jira integration, and expanded Excel capabilities help streamline processes and increase overall reliability in projects.

In addition to these key features, several smaller improvements and background optimizations have been implemented to enhance system stability and performance.
